INTRODUCTION

This service campaign addresses a problem with early 1985 900 and 900S models which may break the throttle cable adjustment screw.

In the event of large movement of the power unit the adjusting end of the throttle control may break after contact with the track clip which holds the four
fuel injector lines against the intake manifold. Later cars after the specified VIN Serial No. have a modified design.
Purchasers of affected vehicles will receive the service campaign notice described below to inform them that they are entitled to this modification at no
charge. Owner notices will be mailed once an initial supply of parts has been shipped to all dealers. The quantity of parts in the initial shipment to each
dealer will equal 50% of the number of affected vehicles listed on the dealer's campaign status list (see printout attached to this S.I.). These parts will be
debited to the dealership parts account.
