Stamp the figure "8" into position C2 of the modification plate with a 3/8" punch. NOTE: A suitable punch was sent free of charge to all
dealers together with the S.I. for this campaign. Retain this punch for future use. Order replacements under P/N 02-97-713 (not free).

Claim Procedure

Claim Forms

Owner notification letters were sent inside a Saab claim form/mailer. The preprinted 265 claim form is to be used by your dealership. This is necessary
for payment and to complete our Recall records and update our periodic recall reports to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
Records are subject to Federal (NHTSA) audit.

If the owner has lost the claim or it is otherwise unavailable or unusable, contact your Saab Regional Service Office and request a new Recall 265 claim
form. If the supply of pre-printed forms for 265 are exhausted, a blank recall claim form will be sent which must be filled in according to the sample
shown in this S.I.

Recall repairs cannot be claimed on a regular warranty claim form.
