All local owners who will receive notice from Saab-Scania of America, Inc. are identified on the dealer's campaign status list. ("R" and owner name
follow VIN.) The list also includes affected vehicles in dealer inventory ("I" follows VIN).
PARTS INVOLVED

The following parts kit is needed to modify one vehicle:

88-17-660 Kit (Slotted hose, nyloc ties)

If the throttle cable is damaged, order the correct M85 cable for the particular transmission type* -

*Must be ordered separately but may be claimed on the same warranty form. Initial parts supply from Saab contains only modification kit 88-17-660 and
will be shipped automatically (estimate mid-November). Reorder as necessary once campaign is underway.
WARRANTY REIMBURSEMENT

Use a regular warranty claim as in all Saab service campaigns. Follow the claim instruction below. No additional parts or time may appear on the claim.

Labor Allowance:

Enter 0.3 straight time to fit Service Kit (P/N 88-17-660). Add Operation No. 27121 (0.3 hour) if throttle cable replaced.

MODIFICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Remove clip 93-41-793 and replace it by corrugated, slotted hose 75-31-494, so that the hose will retain the fuel injector lines for a corresponding
distance plus about 2.75 in. (70 mm) further towards the fuel distributor.

Orient the slot in the hose rearwards to "3 o'clock" (toward firewall).
