Lower Control Arm Replace

1.
Raise vehicle, remove wheel and disconnect lower end of shock.
2.
Disconnect lower ball joint from control arm.
3.
Disconnect lower control arm attaching screws beneath the engine compartment floor.
4.
Remove lower control arm with the brackets, Fig. 4.
5.
Remove bearing retaining nuts and remove bearings and rubber bushings.
6.
Press new bushings into bearings using tool No. 7841349 or equivalent. Do not use oil or grease to ease installation. If lubrication is
necessary, use soap and water solution.

7.
Reinstall bearing assemblies, torquing nuts to 70-77 ft.lbs. and noting proper angle between control arm and bearing, Fig. 6.
8.
Reverse procedure to install control arm, road test vehicle, then check alignment.
