In future, these parts should not be refitted. With effect from the above chassis nos., the drive shaft is separated from the CV joint as follows:

Release the rubber gaiter on the CV joint.

Open the circlip and pull the CV joint off the shaft.

To Assemble

Pack the joint with grease and insert the shaft in the joint, ensuring that the circlip inside the hub snaps into place in the groove in the shaft. Check
that the shaft is locked by the cirdip by applying a sharp outward pull to the shaft.
