2. Press the universal joint driver out of the differential bearing housing.
3. Use a screwdriver to remove the seal, but take care not the damage the bearing housing.
4. Remove the speedometer drive from the left-hand bearing housing.
5. Use sleeve 78 41 067 to press out the ball bearing.
6. Use a suitable drift to remove the differential bearing races. The right-hand differential bearing housing (without speedometer drive) includes a
washer on the inside of the bearing race, the function of which is to improve the lubrication of the ball bearing.
