Remove the two screws securing the dash under the glove box (T25 or Phillips), see Figure 4.

Remove the long screw (T20 or Phillips) retaining the dash insert on the left side (Figure 5).

Remove the two screws (T20 or Phillips) and the clip securing the steering column cover. The clip is a quarter-turn twist lock.
17.
Pull back on the dash and push forward on the A-pillar trim to remove them.
NOTE
On 86-87 models, the A-pillar trim may be partially held by the A-pillar seal retainers. If this is the case, just move the trim out of the way so that it
will not be damaged by the cutter.
18.
Open the hood.
19.
Remove the rubber trim strip from the windshield.
20.
Protect the painted area around the windshield with fabric tape or duct tape.
