Unhook the bottom end of the spring (Figure 2) keeping light tension on it to prevent the upper end of the spring from becoming detached.

3.

Install a protective cover (Figure 2).    The "LH" and "RH" markings on

the covers refer to the LH and RH sides of either front seat.

4.

Hook the spring over the post and position it so that it rests inside of the groove.

5.

Install a retainer clip so that it fits in the groove.

6.

Carefully pull the backrest cover down over the protective cover.

7.

Repeat this procedure for the other side of the seat.

Labor time allowance to install two protective covers is 0.2 hour for one

seat and 0.3 hour for both front seats. If a new seatback cover is needed, the time allowance is the regular, operation for R&R Back Cover, Front
Seat (no extra straight time is needed to install protective covers on the seat).
