Primary Chain Drive

To Remove/Dismantle

TO REMOVE

When removing the primary chaincase, follow the description for dismantling the gearbox.

TO DISMANTLE

1.  Remove the bolts and remove the primary chaincase cover.

2.  Remove the chain tensioner.

3.  Remove the circlip for the lower sprocket and release the circlip on the inside of the opening in the upper chain sprocket.

4.  Remove the chain sprockets and chains simultaneously. Sliding hammer 83 90 270 and tool 87 90 834 may have to be used for removing the

sprocket.
