Beginning with M84, a new fuse panel and fuse type have been introduced. The new fuse is of the "blade" type.
All fuses are in color coded transparent plastic so the fuse element is protected from oxidation yet visible through the body. A fuse that has been
subjected to current overload Will have a broken element (fuse must be removed to check condition). Fuses may also be checked with a test light (circuit
switched on) at the two openings at the top of the fuse (see arrows).
A fuse removal tool is supplied with each car and is located in the fuse panel itself between the fuses and the relays. Use this tool to remove a fuse. When
replacing the fuse, be sure that it is seated firmly into its slot.
NOTE! 1.
Do not attempt to repair a broken fuse.
2.
Do not replace a blown fuse with one of higher amperage. Check for the source of the problem.
