Introduction

1984 and 1985 Saabs built until about March, 1985 are affected by this Service Campaign. The campaign involves inspecting the routing of certain
electrical wires and in some cases re-routing the wires. All cars will require at least one electrical clamp and an initial quantity of all parts involved will
automatically be sent to your dealership.

Please note the VIN Serial No. ranges listed in the Modification Instructions. Not all cars are affected by the same repairs. Do only what is required
according to the VIN serial numbers given.

Purchasers of affected vehicles will receive a Service Campaign notice directly from Saab-Scania of America, Inc. informing them that the above repair
will be provided at no charge. In the case of vehicles covered by Recall 264, reference to SC 509 is made in the safety recall notice and separate notice
will not be given to owners of those vehicles. Owner notices will be shipped only after you have received your initial supply of parts. The initial order
will consist of enough parts to modify 20% of the vehicles on your status list. We estimate that these shipments will be completed by June 10, 1985.

The notice/message pictured below will be sent to all purchasers of 1984 model vehicles and certain 1985 model vehicles within the following VIN
Serial Nos. (except those 1984's affected by Recall 264, Alternator Cable Position):

E10000001 - *F1023354 and

E2000001 - *F2011656

*Indicates M85 vehicle
