Remove the cable ties which secure the heavy wire harness to the heater connection (see drawing).

Attach a clamp (P/N 79-69-439) around the cable harness and reattach the harness and clamp to the screw which supports the mount for the
throttle cable.

The modification plate must be stamped after the car is inspected and modified according to these instructions.

Stamp the figure "8" into position A5 of the modification plate. Use a 3/8" (5 mm) tall punch.
A punch (P/N 02-97-713) was sent to your dealership with the S.I. for Recall 265. Additional punches may be purchased from your Saab parts depot.
