Hydraulic Assembly: Service and Repair
Kickdown Wire Actuating Motor Bracket
1.
Remove nut for cable sheath clamp.
2.
Remove actuating motor, refer to KICKDOWN WIRE ACTUATING MOTOR.
3.
Remove tie strap from bracket.
4.
Remove two steering rack bolts and push rack to the rear.
5.
Remove bracket mounting bolts, then the bracket.
6.
Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Torque steering rack mounting bolts to 44-59 ft. lbs.
b. ASR system must be calibrated, including basic kickdown cable setting. Recalibrate ASR system.
