Hydraulic Control Assembly - Antilock Brakes: Service and Repair
Valve Block

1.

Depressurize system, refer to HYDRAULIC UNIT, prior to beginning work.

2.

Remove air intake, then remove coolant expansion tank retaining bolt and position tank aside.

3.

Siphon hydraulic fluid from the fluid reservoir.

4.

Disconnect electrical connector on valve block.

5.

Disconnect brake hydraulic pipes from underside of valve block.

6.

Disconnect remaining brake hydraulic pipes and large bore return pipe from valve block.

7.

Loosen nut on cover underneath brake hydraulic pipes.

8.

Pull brake pipes and return pipe away from valve body, then plug ends of pipes.

9.

Cut tie that secures wiring harness to valve block.

10.

Remove three retaining nuts and remove valve block.

11.

Reverse procedure to install, bleed brake system, refer to Brakes and Traction Control/Brakes/Service and Repair then switch ignition on to
ensure brake and ABS warning lights go off.
