Radiator Cooling Fan Motor: Testing and Inspection

When checking these systems refer to SCHEMATIC DIAGRAMS / ELECTRICAL & ELECTRONIC DIAGRAMS for wiring circuits.

Refer to TSB #06920218 for fan relay update.

1.

Check cooling fan fuse and ensure that supply to it is live.

2.

Check for voltage at temperature switch.

3.

Check radiator fan operation by connecting a jumper wire across temperature switch terminals.

4.

Run engine until it reaches normal operating temperature and ensure temperature switch turns fan on.

5.

Check connectors, cable harnesses and ground connections.
