Selector Shaft: Service and Repair

TO DISMANTLE THE SELECTOR SHAFT

Use a 4 mm drift to tap out the tubular dowel. Remove the spring, selector interlock device and actuator.

TO ASSEMBLE THE SELECTOR SHAFT

Assemble in the reverse order. See the figure for the locations. Fit new tubular dowels.

NOTES:  
-

The reverse lever need not be removed from the selector shaft when the shaft is removed. The threads of bolt retaining the reverse lever are
locked, and the bolt may fail therefore if an attempt is made to remove it.

Make sure not to hammer the tubular dowel in too far during assembly.
