Due to the thick coat of varnish on the fascia of the wooden dash insert, P/N 02 44 475, It may sometimes be difficult to refit the covers below the heated
seat rheostats and fog light switch (A) and the storage compartments (B) (Figure 1).
CAUTION
Never attempt to trim or modify the wooden dash insert itself in any way. The coat of varnish is very likely to crack or craze if disturbed.
TRIMMING PROCEDURE:
Cover
File or cut away the side edges and lightly trim the tabs at the rear of the cover as shown in Figure 2.
