Metal Sunroof

The sunroof should only  be dismantled as far as necessary to make repairs. See the Service Manual (Section 8, p. 830-30) for instructions on
removing the sunroof frame and guides.

This Service Information describes removing the steel panel and the importance of proper installation.

Remove the sunroof by first sliding it back about 6 inches.

Pull off the upholstery trim from the leading edge.

With a screwdriver carefully pry the sunroof inner liner away from the sunroof. The inner liner is held in place with snap connectors.

4.

Close the sunroof, while at the same time pulling the inner liner along with it.

If the liner is allowed to slip back the drain channel at the rear of the sunroof may come loose.
