Wiring Harness For Trunk Lid

On 9000 4-door models, up to chassis numbers -K1026497, and -K2016286, the trunk lid wiring harness may fatigue and fail (Figure 1). A damaged
harness may cause a complaint of malfunctioning marker lights, alarm, or central lock for the trunk lid. An improved harness that is more flexible has
been introduced into production after the above-mentioned VIN's. This new harness, P/N 41 10 516, also replaces the earlier version as a spare part.

Note

Do not attempt to repair a damaged harness as there is a likelihood that it will fall again. Replace the old wiring harness with the new style harness.
