Checking System Pressure
1 Connect as described in "Connection of pressure testing equipment". See: Connection of Pressure Testing Equipment
2 Start the fuel pump by setting the switch to the ON position. System pressure should rise to the prescribed value.
System pressure too high:
Stop the fuel pump by setting the switch to OFF. Disconnect the return line from the fuel pressure regulator. Blow through the return line.
If the line is open, change the fuel pressure regulator.
If the line is clogged, remove the obstruction or change the return line.
The fault could also be in the non-return valve where the return line is connected to the tank or the fuel pump.
System pressure too low:
Check the level of the fuel in the tank.
Check that the fuel system has no leaks.
