Expansion Valve: Service and Repair
Removal

1. Detach the negative lead from the battery.
2. Empty the refrigerant from the system. For more information refer to "Draining and Filling of Refrigerant-R134a or R12". See:

3. Remove the cover from over the evaporator casing.
4. Remove the bulkhead panel in the engine compartment.
5. Remove insulation and clip.
6. Undo the capillary tube connections. Plug connections.
7. Undo expansion valve connections. Use a holding tool.
8. Remove the expansion valve. Plug connections.
