4A. Connect discharge hose to fuel rail access fiting and open inline valve fully (see drawing).
5A. Energize vehicle electric fuel pumps using switch on jumper lead 83-93-886. Refer to service manual for proper connection.
6A. Bleed air out of discharge hose by opening push button valve and draining fuel into cleaner tank until steady stream of fuel is observed inside of
tank.
7A. Turn off electric fuel pumps.
8A. Disconnect harness connectors at all injectors.
9A. Connect injector tester to #1 injector and to vehicle 12 volt battery.
NOTE:
DO NOT LEAVE TESTER BOX ON HOT ENGINE.
10A. Energize vehicle fuel pumps to fully pressurize fuel rail. Turn vehicle fuel pumps off. Record gauge rest pressure.
11A. Push injector tester button once. Injector tester will open injector for approximately 1/2 second. LED indicates tester is working.
12A. Note and record pressure drop the instant the gauge needle stops. Disregard any pressure increase after the initial drop.
13A. Repeat steps 9A, 10A, 11A and 12A on all injectors.
14A. Subtract pressure drop from rest pressure and compare results. Pressure drop on all injectors should be about the same. Clean injecters when a
pressure difference of 0.2 bar (3.0 PSI) either more or less exists between injectors.
15A. To proceed to the injector cleaning operation, reconnect all injector harnesses and proceed to step 5B of Fuel Injecter Cleaning.
B.Fuel Injecter Cleaning

Depressurize cleaner tank via the pressure relief pull ring.

Remove the pump and cap assembly from the cleaner/tester tank.

Wear eye Drotection. Attach access fitting assembly to fuel pressure line at
fuel rail inlet. Wrap a shop rag around inlet of fuel rail to prevent and absorb gasoline spray.
4B. Connect discharge hose to fuel rail access fitting and open inline valve fully (see drawing previous page).
