Introduction
This campaign involves Saab 9000 Turbos built from the beginning of production until late December 1985 production. All cars built within this time
period (see Owner Notice for VIN range) must have a new front hub nut installed and locked with Loctite 242.
If these cars are not corrected it is possible to experience noise in the front end assembly, a "clunk" between acceleration and deceleration or wheel
bearing damage. Do not re-use the original nut. Discard the original nut after removal.
Purchasers of affected vehicles will receive the following Owner Notice directly from Saab-Scania of America notifying them of this problem. The
Owner Notice will be mailed approximately March 26, 1986 but not before you have received your initial supply of wheel nuts (initial supply shipped
automatically - see Parts Involved).

Parts Involved
The following part will be sent to your dealership in a quantity equal to 33% of the vehicles listed on your status list. Order any additional quantities as
needed, after you receive your initial supply.
Hub Nut
P/N 89-65-360
If noise has occurred or if the hub has any binding, the hub/bearing assembly should be replaced. Hubs will not be supplied to your dealership
automatically. Hubs will be replaced on a "as needed" basis only. Check your own supplies and order according to your demands.
