Remove left side firewall cover.

A Torx T25 driver is required for the screw and a screwdriver is needed to pry up the two spring clips.

Apply a few drops of Loctite Adhesive 495 P/N 02-73-565 to each strip and press protection strip 82- 78-558 (two required) onto each side of the
windshield wiper motor bracket (see drawing). Press firmly into place along the length of the bracket. Manipulate the wiring harness out of contact
with the bracket, if necessary.

Protection pieces should extend from flush with the floor of the plenum and upward to where the edge of the bracket starts to curve forward.
Note! Electrical wires must not be in contact with any uncovered edges of the wiper motor bracket.

3.

Reinstall the firewall cover.

4.

Stamp the Modification Plate as follows:

Number 8, Position B4
