2. Secure the dust cover by means of the cirdip at a distance of 11 mm from the machined edge of the cylinder body.

3. Fit new 0-rings to the plunger and lubricate them with brake fluid. Fit the plunger in the body so that the flange for the bearing is slightly forward

of the dust cover (see figure).

4. Fit a new stuffing box into the sleeve and lubricate the stuffing box with Esso Nebula EP2 (Saab Special Chassis grease).

Note:

Keep the grease away from the 0-rings and paintwork.

5. Fit the sleeve and the release bearing.

To fit a new slave cylinder

1. Fit the dust cover retainer 11 mm from the machined edge of the cylinder body.
2. Remove the release bearing sleeve and push the plunger forward so that the flange for the bearing is slightly forward of the dust cover.
3. Refit the release bearing sleeve.
4. Fit the release bearing.

To fit

1. Always fit new 0-rings when assembling the slave cylinder.
2. Fit the slave cylinder into the clutch housing and tighten the bolts evenly in sequence before tightening to the specified torque.
3. Fit the bleed nipple and connect the pressure pipe.
