Oil Filter Adapter: Service and Repair

REMOVAL 

1. Raise the car, drain the engine oil and remove the oil filter.
2. Disconnect the hoses from the adaptor.

3. Remove the adaptor, taking care not to lose the sealing ring.

INSTALLATION 

1. Install the seal in the groove in the adaptor.
2. Lubricate the seal and fit the adaptor.
3. Install the oil hoses.
4. Install the oil filter and lower the car.
5. Fill up the engine oil. Run the engine up to normal temperature and check for leaks.
