Crankshaft Main Bearing Seal: Service and Repair

1.

Remove transaxle, clutch and flywheel, refer to Transmission and Drivetrain.

2.

Using a screwdriver, pry out old oil seal.

3.

Before installing, lubricate lip of new seal with engine oil, then install seal using installer tool No. 8392540, or equivalent.

4.

Reinstall transaxle, clutch and flywheel, tighten flywheel bolts to specifications.
