Certain 1991 and 1992 9000 Models
There have been cases where the bolts securing the brace to the rear stabilizer bar link break off, Figure 1. As a result, the customer may complain of a
noise from the rear of the car.

Action Required:
Check the bolts visually when the customer complains of noises from the rear of the car or on regular service visits. If a bolt has broken off, proceed as
follows:
NOTE
It is only necessary to replace the bolts on the side where the bolt broke off.
1.
Torque the bolts of the unaffected brace to 20 - 27 N-m (14.8 - 20 lb.ft).
2.
Remove the link with the broken bolt from the body. Place the link in a vice and secure. Make a slot in the other end of the bolt. Using a screw
driver, remove the broken bolt.
3.
Mount the link to the body.
