1992 9000 Turbo with Automatic Transmission
There is a possibility that the kick-down cable on 1992 9000 models equipped with automatic transmissions and turbocharged engines may break at its
connection to the kick-down motor. The symptoms of this are as follows:

Hesitation while accelerating, especially at speeds above 35 mph
^
Severe flare on 3-4 upshift
^
No kick-down function
^
Possible fault codes read while diagnosing problem with ISAT: 45791, 25791, 257B1, 457B2, 257B2, 683B1, 783B1
^
TCS CTRL light may or may not be lit

Action:
If you have a customer experiencing any of the symptoms listed above, inspect the kick-down cable (figure 1) and replace it if necessary. Follow the
procedures outfined in Service Manual Section 2:5 (P/N 02 15 707), pages 259-267.
NOTE
RECALIBRATE THE ASR SYSTEM UPON COMPLETION OF THIS ACTION. BE SURE TO USE REVISED TCS CALIBRATION PROCEDURE
AS OUTLINED IN PSI 02/92-0185.
