Harmonic Balancer - Crankshaft Pulley: Service and Repair

REMOVAL 

1. Install locking segment 83 93 993, or equivalent to immobilize the flywheel.
2. Raise the car. Remove the right front wheel and the front section of fender liner.

3. Slacken the belt tensioner and fit locking pin 83 94 488, or equivalent. Ease the drive belt off the crankshaft pulley.

4. Undo the pulley center-bolt and lift off the pulley.

INSTALLATION 

Install in the reverse order noting the following.

Tightening torque for pulley center-bolt:  190 Nm (140 ft. lbs.).

Tightening torque for wheel bolts:  130 Nm (96 ft. lbs.).
