Compressor Oil - Topping Up and Adjusting For R134a

To Remove

Important :  Both the desiccant container and compressor oil in the R134a system absorb water from the air, which cannot then be removed. For this
reason, all connections which are opened must be immediately plugged.

Important :  Cars with 2.0 liter engines and R134a refrigerant up to chassis number N1034330 may have the less strong compressor bracket with part
number 42 79 345, which should be changed for bracket part number 4357067 when working on the A/C. When doing this, it is only necessary to change
bolt part number 7982119.

Empty the refrigerant from the A/C system, see "Refrigerant".

Move the servo oil container to one side.

Install clamp 83 94 488 to the multi V belt.

Where appropriate, install a protector over the oil cooler.
