Transmission Cooler: Service and Repair
Thermostat For Transmission Oil Cooler (As Equipped)

NOTE:  Component identifier numbers used in the following illustrations relate to specific steps in the procedures below.

Removal

1. Raise the car.
2. Remove the center cover panel in the spoiler.
3. Clean all connections to the thermostat.
4. Clamp hose A. Then remove the two hoses from the thermostat.
5. Detach the thermostat from the engine beam and pull it forwards.
6. Detach the hose from the thermostat.
7. Detach the last hose and remove the thermostat. 
8. When changing the thermostat, move the bracket over.

NOTE:

Check O-ring seals.

Damaged seals should be changed.

Installation

1. Fitting is in reverse order.
2. Top up the fluid and compensate for any spillage.
3. Start the engine and check seals and level.
