Apply butyl tape. P/N 30 17 795 or 3M Ribbon Sealer P/N 51135/08610 to A and B as shown in Figure 5.

Press down the catches (Figure 4, item C) securing the vent to the duct. Bend up the edge slightly and apply butyl tape under the joint at D
as shown in Figure 5.

10.

Reassemble.

Rattles/squeaks in wiring on cars with adjustable airbag steering wheel:

1995 models only

1.

Remove the steering column covers.

2.

Move the steering wheel first to its top position and then to its bottom position.

3.

Check the points where the steering wheel stalk switch wiring is in contact with the kneepad or other electrical leads.
