Variable Induction Control Valve: Service and Repair
Inner Flap

To Remove

1. Remove the engine cover.
2. Remove the four covers on the heads of the intake manifold retaining bolts.
3. Remove the four bolts.
4. Lift up the intake manifold slightly and remove the flap's two retaining bolts,
5. Remove the flap from the intake manifold.
6. Release the control arm from the flap.
7. Remove the two valve retaining bolts and remove the valve from the flap.

    
To Fit

Fit in reverse order.

Lubricate the flap's O-ring with a little petroleum jelly (Vaseline).

Tightening torque, intake manifold retaining bolts: 20 Nm (14 ft lbs).
