Assembly

1. Assemble stage 1.

Install the plunger in the governor housing and fix it using the locking plate.

2. Assemble stage 2.

Install the control plunger, insert both thrust springs in the plunger and insert the locking clip.

3. Screw together stages 1 and 2 using four screws on the governor flange so that each housing covers one straight and one angled fluid supply duct.

Wrench size = TORX socket - TX27
Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.4 ft. lbs.)

4. Place the two rubber seals in the middle and rear groove, closest to the flange. Then install the top seal on the governor flange and attach it.

CAUTION:

Do not stretch the seals more than necessary. Then wait for 30 minutes while the seals relax to their original shape before installing the
complete governor.

If there was dirt in the regulator, flushing equipment tool No. 87 91 824, or equivalent, should be connected to the transmission cooling system
before the engine is started.
