Throttle Valve Cable/Linkage: Adjustments
Without Traction Control System (TCS)

Adjusting

Adjustment applies to cars with V6 engine.

Turn the control arm to wide open throttle position and insert adjusting tool 87 92 459 in the right-hand hole on the control bracket. Let the control
arm rest against the tool.

The kick~own cable should be under tension, but not so much that kick~own would be activated if the car were being driven. Check that the cable
is at and not past the "threshold" for kick-down by pulling it with your hand.

Move the tool to the left-hand hole in the bracket (fully closed throttle position) and let the control arm rest against the tool.

Lift off the throttle cable from the control arm.

Adjust the control rod between the control arm and throttle shaft.

Adjust the control rod sufficiently so that the control arm just leaves the tool. Do up the locknuts.

Note:  The locknut beside the throttle body has a left-hand thread.
