Clutch Slave Cylinder: Service and Repair
Replacement

NOTE:  Component identifier numbers used in the following illustrations relate to specific steps in the procedures below.

Removal

1. Remove the gearbox, refer to Replacement. See: Manual Transmission/Transaxle/Service and Repair/Replacement/Removal
2. Remove the clutch bearing.
3. Remove the dust protector (with spring)
4. Remove the dust cover on the gearbox.
5. Disconnect the fluid line and remove thee bleeding nipple.
6. Remove the mounting bolts, then the slave cylinder.

Installation

1. Apply suitable thread sealing liquid to the slave cylinder mounting screws.
2. Install a new O-ring to the slave cylinder.

Use Vaseline to keep O-ring in position during installation.

3. Mount the slave cylinder using the thread sealed bolts.
4. Install the fluid line and the bleeding nipple.
5. Install the dust cover to the gear box.
6. Install the dust protector.
7. Install the clutch bearing.
8. Install the gearbox and bleed the hydraulic system
