Windshield Washer Motor: Service and Repair
Right-Hand Drive

To Remove

On RHD cars the windscreen wiper should be started and the ignition switched off when the wipers are in a vertical position.

Remove the bonnet seal and cover panel (8 screws) and separate the washer hose.

Disconnect the negative battery cable.

If the car is equipped with anti-lock brakes (ABS), release the electronic unit from the bracket and withdraw it.

Use a screwdriver to prise loose the linking arms.

Unplug the wiper motor connector.

Remove the motor (3 bolts) and withdraw it.

To Install

Install in reverse order.

Tightening torque, wiper arms: 14 - 22 Nm (10 - 16 lbf ft)
