7. Fit a new gear:

Fit shaft to gear in air distribution. Turn the gear so that the clips lock into the lugs on the heating and ventilation unit.

When fitting rod: Turn the shaft on the gear fully to the left. Set the air distribution control to position 0. Fit the rod with the orange colored
part towards the shaft on the control panel.
8. Press the control panel into position. Check operation.
9. Fit ashtray holder and ashtray.
10. Fit glove compartment and facia vent. If an airbag has been removed.
ACC Air Flap Stepper Motor Calibration
The ACC stepper motors do not have a feedback function. Whenever power to the ACC control module is interrupted or a stepper motor is
serviced, it is necessary to calibrate the flap stepper motors to their end position. This calibration may be accomplished using the ISAT or other
suitable scan tool or by placing the system into a self-test mode.
ISAT METHOD
Connect the ISAT or suitable scan tool to the green connector found under the left seat using the correct interface cable. Start vehicle to maintain
correct system voltage during calibration procedure. Select ACCmode, then select Calibrate from menu. Follow ISAT menu steps to calibrate
stepper motors by entering ISAT diagnostic trouble code 900.
ACC CONTROL PANEL METHOD
Retrieve any stored diagnostic trouble codes from memory. Refer to Testing and Inspection.
Start vehicle to ensure correct system voltage during calibration. Press and hold the Auto and Vent buttons for approximately one second. This
puts the system into self-test mode. The system will check for any current diagnostic trouble codes and display them while cycling flap motors to
their calibration positions. The vehicle must remain running for at least 35 seconds for a complete sequence to occur.
Turn off engine and wait at least 30 seconds before turning ignition switch to ON position or restarting vehicle.
