Correcting a Customer Complaint that Interior Lights Do Not Go Out
Application:
Certain 1996 9000 Models (refer to VIN Serial Nos. below)
Customers may complain that the interior lights do not go out when the switch is in position 1. To correct this problem, a relay that controls the
time-delay lighting must be replaced.
Cars Affected:
1996 9000 models within the following VIN Serial No. Range:
T1019043-T1019989.

Action:
1.
Remove the relay in position M on the main relay board located below the dashboard (see Figure 1).
2.
Install the new relay.
