11. Adjust using shims (if required).
a. Using slide hammer tool No. 87 91 360, or equivalent, to remove the governor feed pipe before installing selector arm clearance adjustment
support tool No. 87 91 501, or equivalent.

Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.3 ft lbs.)
b. Press the pawl cam towards the selector mechanism and measure dimension "A" between the pawl cam and the contact surface on the gear
case, using a feeler gauge.

Clearance should be 0.10-0.20 mm (0.040-0.079 inch).
c. Calculate shim thickness as follows:

Dimension A (mm) minus clearance (mm) = shim thickness (mm)
12. Install the selector lever and tighten the nut.
13. Install the governor feed pipe.
