9000 CS L4-2290cc 2.3L DOHC Turbo EFI (1996)
4. Press down the clutch pedal and remove the locking nut from the shaft bolt.
5. Remove the screw which holds the console with the cruise control switches.

Press in the shaft bolt somewhat and remove the console.

Leave the console hanging in the wiring to the switches.
6. Remove the clip for the auxiliary spring and remove the spring with its bracket.
