Unscrew the positive cable clamp from the starter motor bracket. Remove the clamp from the positive cable.

Raise the car.
7.
Detach the positive cable from the starter motor.
8.
Detach the positive cable from the generator.
9.
Remove the cable by pulling it downwards.
10.
Insert the new positive cable.
11.
Connect the positive cable to the starter motor and generator.
12.
Lower the car to the floor.
13.
Route the positive cable to the battery tray and fit the old clamps in their correct places on the cable.
14.
Secure the clamps to the starter motor bracket and battery tray respectively.
15.
Secure the positive cable in the distribution block and close the cover.
16.
Refit the battery and connect the terminals.
17.
Grease the battery terminals with non-acidic Vaseline.
18.
Set the clock and program radio code.

Make sure the radio code is available before disconnecting the battery cables (negative cable first).
