Hydraulic Servo Pump: Service and Repair
Power Steering Pump Replacement
REMOVAL
1. Drain the hydraulic fluid as follows:

Drain the hydraulic fluid reservoir using oil suction devise.
^
Remove the hydraulic fluid reservoir and lift it to one side so the pump is easier to remove.
^
Thoroughly clean the area around the return hose from the reservoir.
^
Disconnect the return hose from the reservoir.
^
Connect a slack hose to the return hose.
^
Place the end of the hose in a container with a capacity for at least 1 liter.
^
Start the engine and allow the fluid to be pumped out of the system. Turn the steering wheel twice from full lock to full lock to drain the system
completely. Switch off the engine when the fluid no longer flows. Take away the slack hose and reconnect the return hose.
2. Release the tension from the pulley.
3. Lift the car
4. Remove the right wheel
5. Remove the front part of the inner right wing liner.
6. Remove the pulley from the pump.
7. Remove the delivery pipe from the pump.
8. Remove the suction hose from the pump.
9. Remove the 2 pump retaining screws and take away the pump.
