Removal

1. Remove the four securing screws.
2. Remove the universal joint drive shaft with adapter tool No. 87 90 917 and slide hammer tool No. 83 90 270, or equivalent.
3. Remove the large lock ring.
4. Use support tube tool No. 83 90 098, or equivalent, and press out the shaft and its bearing.
5. Remove the small lock ring.
6. Press out the bearing from the shaft with assembly ring tool No. 87 91 972 and press pipe 87 91 204, or equivalents.
7. Press out the sealing ring with press driver pipe tool No. 87 91 311, or equivalent, and support tube.
8. Remove the O-ring.

Installation

1. Mark 5.5-6.5 mm up from the edge of driver pipe tool.
