INSTALLATION 

1. Clean the sealing surfaces and fit the thermostat housing lid complete with thermostat. Tightening torque 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
2. Fit new O-rings on the coolant pipe and fit it to the thermostat housing lid.
3. Fit the bolt securing the coolant pipe and the lifting eye.
4. Refit the dipstick and connect the upper coolant hose to the engine.
5. Fit and secure the center intake manifold. Tightening torque 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
6. Fit and secure the upper intake manifold. Refer to Engine.
7. Raise the car, check that the radiator drain plug is tightened and fit the center air deflector.
8. Lower the car, top up the coolant and check the system for leaks.
9. Bleed the system as follows:

Fill the system to the MAX level and fit the pressure cap. Start the engine and run it, preferably at varying rpm, until the radiator fan starts.

Remove the pressure cap and refill to MAX.

Install the pressure cap and let the engine run at various accelerator settings until the radiator fan has started a further three times.

Switch off the engine and refill to the MAX level if necessary.
