Fault Symptom

Alternative 1: Traction Control System (TCS) OFF lamp on, TCS inoperative

Alternative 2: TCS OFF lamp and TCS lamp both fail to light when the ignition is turned ON

Action

When a Break Out Box (BOB) is connected during trouble diagnosis, the voltage supply and ground connections should always be connected first,
as follows:
Ignition In ON Position

Battery positive - pin 32 less than 0.5 Volts

Battery positive - pin 28 less than 0.5 Volts

3

Pin 30 - Battery negative less than 0.1 Volts

4

Pin 13 - Battery negative less than 0.1 Volts
