11. Remove the two screws holding the MacPherson strut to the steering swivel member. Swivel the retaining bracket for the cable lead out of the way.
12. Remove the locking ring and bolt securing the ball joint to the steering swivel member.
13. Move the steering swivel member out of the way. Support the universal joint on the suspension arm.
14. Lift off the steering swivel member.

INSTALLATION

1. Lift the steering swivel member into position. Insert the bolt securing it to the ball joint and loosely fasten the nut. Ensure that the bolt is located in

the recess in the ball joint. Refit the locking ring.

2. Swivel out the steering swivel member and insert the universal joint.
3. Fit the steering swivel member to the MacPherson strut.

Install the ABS sensor lead retaining bracket.
Tighten the two retaining bolts for the steering swivel member and the MacPherson strut.
Tightening torques: 92 Nm (68 ft. lbs.)
