Unhook the six front springs on the seat spring base, taking care to note their position. See Figure 2.

Fit the new springs, P/N 47 18 391. See Figure 2.
4.
Remove the rubber bushings. See Figure 2.
5.
Use heavy-duty cable ties to secure the spring base to the seat frame's tubular front cross-member. See Figure 2.
6.
Fit the new foam cushion and heating pad.
7.
Refit the seat covering and reinstall the seat in the car.
Action for Manually Adjustable Seat:
1.
Remove the seat from the car. Remove the seat covering and foam cushion. Follow instructions in Service Manual Section 8:2 Interior equipment,
Section 852 Seats.
