Adjustment of Rear Seat Cushion

Application:
9000 CS

Should you have a customer complain of difficulty in latching the left or right rear seat bottom cushion, the procedure below should be followed to
improve ease of latching.

Cars Affected:

9000 CS up to and including VIN Serial No. P1018782

Action:

1.

Tilt the seat cushion forward. Remove the screws retaining the latch. (See Figure 1-1.)

2.

Lift the latch out slightly. Do not pull the loop (Figure 1-A) which opens the latch through the seat cushion.

Insert a screwdriver in one of the screw holes to prevent the metal plate inside the seat cushion from moving out of place.

3.

Use a screwdriver to remove the plastic insert. (Figure 1-3.)

4.

Fit the latch with the outer cover in position and check that its lever (Figure 1-8) is in line with the hole in the seat cushion (Figure 1-C).
